PILOT: TESCO & CENTRAL Ban

looks like fish food when it breaks up

Reducing POLYSTYRENE PRODUCTS

In whats believed to be a first on Phuket Central have stopped using polystyrene and TESCO Lotus have announced they will also phase out polystyrene products.

Polystyrene braeks down in the ocean into thousands of small pieces that are not easily degradeable, and get eaten by fish and other marine animals that confuse it for food, this and other plastic ingested end up being absorbed by the fish, leaving the oceans lifeblood with a potentially high level of plasticity.

Also at heat the product melts creating toxic gasses that alter the food.

Say NO, to ploystyrene trays and when take away, ask for no plastic bag, no polystyrene and whne possible take your own containers.

Dinner for 2 can be 8 polystyrene boxes, 3 large plastic carry bags plus 3 condiments bags!
